Hi & welcome to Betty’s Bakes! I am Fenella, aged 21 and currently trying to find my way in the world.

Bettys Bakes is a journey that will follow me throughout all the baking adventures that I will meet on my journey. This will include the good, the bad and everything in between!

Here at Betty’s Bakes we have always loved all things baking and have decided now is the time to begin sharing that love.

For me, baking has always been a form of enjoyment and something that I look forward to doing. Every part of it I find enjoyment in, the playing with flavour combinations, the decorating something and of course getting others to taste the creations.

About a year ago, I developed a gluten-intolerance. This in itself was not a joy to discover but I did not let that stop me from attempting to make my favourite bakes gluten-free.

A lot of the recipes I used previous to this, have had to be adapted and changed. But it is this change that I want to share. I have not seen many people sharing GF recipes that are not super complicated. Most of my recipes are as easy GF as they are ‘normally’.

Therefore, most of my recipes will be gluten-free on this page. This will be clearly stated on the top of each post.
